There is nothing more heart warming than witnessing true love…

Recently it was Mrs Lyall’s birthday and as she is lady we need not mention age.  The family organised a gorgeous lunch and family portraits to celebrate and Mr & Mrs Lyall were in great form!  I was thrilled to be invited to photograph these four generations as I have been friends with the Lyall’s grandkids for a very long time.

I’m looking forward to catching up with you all again soon…xx

Being winter I have a little time to look back and enjoy my images!  This was one of my FAVOURITE shoots from last year.  It was timed to celebrate Greta’s 1^st birthday and we chose their garden and gorgeous verandah - perfect for a hot, summer shoot.  And, what fun you can have with tall parents!  I’ve been photographing the Prossers as their family has grown – it is a pleasure and a privilege recording your story… xx  

SIMPLY BELLA ~ outdoor family portraits, western australia

The Tovey family came from Brisbane for a holiday and I was tickle pink that they asked me to do their first professional family portraits.

Generally for a 3 person portrait I’d spend an hour with the family but Bella cast a spell on me!  I spent a delightful 2.5 hours with the Toveys and my face was hurting when I left, from smiling.

ROBERTS TWINS ~ new born photography, western australia

What a joy – photographing new born twins!  And, not just any twins, Isabella & Pepper are the first born daughters of very dear friends of mine.

Pepper is her Mummy and Isabella is a lil girl version of her Dad and its obvious where they both get their beautiful blue eyes!

ZARA G ~ photography of a christening, western australia

A child’s christening is the second most important event (first is their wedding) in Macedonian culture.  So, it was a real privilege to be invited by loyal clients, the Kailis and Gastevski families, to photograph Zara’s special day.

Even though Zara was a little put out by the process she looked so sweet in her tutu and it was a lovely occasion, celebrated afterwards with family photos, liqueur & chocolates!

JAMIE-LEE & DUANE ~ an autumn swan valley wedding

Jamie-Lee & Duane are gorgeous, gentle souls and it was a privilege to be a part of their wedding day.  Most of their loved ones travelled (!) to witness their commitment to one another and a fantastic, Autumn afternoon was had by all at the Belvoir Homestead. 

The newlyweds have recently returned from their honeymoon and I’m really looking forward to catching up with them soon!

I’ve been hanging out to photograph the gorgeous Davis family for months!  We never got our fine weather weekend in Spring so we decided on March to celebrate Layla’s 1^st birthday.  It was a glorious early morning and it was fantastic hanging out with these guys! I incorrectly assumed it would be the Davis trio but Kash is actually their first “baby” so it was loads of fun capturing the antics of a dog & a toddler, who are clearly great mates.  Thanks guys… xx

SWEET JAMES ~ baby portraits, western australia

James had such a gentle but determined way about him – he just made my heart melt.  I photographed his parent’s wedding in October 2008 so it was a pleasure catching up with Jo and meeting their first born!  Andrew had to work but we made sure gorgeous Stella (their dog) featured in the photos, as she did on their wedding day!

THE “K” STORY ~ fun family photography

I’m surprised the “K’s” are featuring for the first time as they are one of my oldest & most beautifully loyal clients.  Peta and I have been friends for twenty years and it means a lot to me that I have been invited to photograph her family as it grows. The “K” story began in 2003 and we’ve just completed a coffee table book of the last 4 years worth of images!  I regularly photograph these family members individually, and together, and absolutely love capturing the characters (and stunning blue eyes) of the gorgeous girls!

AN AUTUMN STORM ~ suburban landscapes

What a day… hot, sunny & muggy AND then wind with almighty force, bringing with it horizontal rain and glorious storm clouds!  When there was a break in the weather Russ cleared the gutters and I dashed out the front to explore with my camera and as luck would have it the sun came out – truly spectacular!
