ROSIE & ROB ~ true romance, wedding photography perth western australia

There is an adjective I use sparingly to describe special people in my life… sunshine.  Rosie is pure sunshine and epitomizes everything that is good in the world; Rosie is kind, warm, generous, thoughtful, generous, loyal and loving.  Rosie found her soul mate in Rob who compliments her perfectly.

I’ve known Rosie for almost 20 years and when she asked if I would photograph their wedding I was simply thrilled! The images below are a sample and I thank Rosie & Rob for their patience as I take time off over Chrissy with my family before I finish the editing (there are so many gorgeous moments to enjoy!).

Rosie & Rob got married at the beautiful Chapel of St Michael the Archangel.  Rosie & Rob are all about family with the bridal party consiting of just brothers, sisters and a neice, special photos were had with Rosie’s 91 year old Nonna and Rob learned some Italian for his speech! As the images below will show the love was palpable, there were some amazing heels worn and geez there were some very proud parents!

We enjoyed photos with the family vehicles and amongst the beautiful grounds of Bridgeleigh Estate.  The reception was loads of fun with an Italian amount(!) of delicious food and dancing started early in the night and was on for young and not so young…

Hugo, a.k.a Mr Busy, was a puuure delight!  Hugo’s Mummy would loved to have had some more cuddly shots with him and #2 growing in the belly but there was  far  too much to do… so Hugo and I just played!

The Collins are now the fabulous four and I look forward to photographing them with newest addition, Hannah… maybe after my own ‘arrives’!

Do you not just get lost in Chelsea’s eyes?!  Looking at this little wonder’s parents you can see where her beauty comes from, inside and out and I think the image of Chelsea on the pink, floral blanket is in my top 5 faves for 2010!

Chelsea had a hysterical affiliation with orange toys, it was fun catching up with Darren who I worked with at the W.A Business News in 2007 and it was lovely talking all things Mummy with Louise, who was so generous with her experiences & knowledge - I had a lovely time photographing the Noronha’s!

LOVE THAT LASTS A LIFETIME ~ couple’s portraits, perth western australia

I recently photographed an older couple and it will be one of those shoots that will stay with me forever. A voucher was bought by their daughter and I assumed it was for the entire family. Mrs Brack called to discuss times and locations and it turns out the portrait sitting was a gift from their four kids for them to do something romantic together. We met in iconic King’s Park and as we wandered through the grounds making use of the light from the stunning, Spring morning I learned of their love story…

They were such loving, warm, generous souls! They smiled and held hands like newlyweds but have been happily married for over forty years. People like Yvonne & Larry are the reason I bound out of bed every morning for “work!”

HOLIDAYS ~ time away with my beloved

We are heading to coastal N.S.W for a quiet Christmas this year, so please note the studio will be unattended from December 21-28.

Below is one of the many landscapes taken on a trip to Victoria in winter and I look forward to sharing some other non people images in the New Year after this holiday!

NIC & CHOOK ~ love & laughter, wedding photography perth western australia

The blue eyed Nic & Chook were married on a cloudy summer’s day surrounded by family & friends and it was a smile fest!  Their day had the most beautiful feel with love and laughter enveloping us all.

Their gorgeous ceremony, officiated by Clare Henderson, was in Joondalup’s Neil Hawkin’s Gardens.  Afterwards we travelled to a nearby park and then on to Burns Beach (even with the wind and a threat of rain) for photos with their super fun bridal party!

Everyone enjoyed the view, meal & drinks at Mindarie Marina and I can not wait to catch up with the newlyweds in January to hear all about “the dance!”

Nic & Chook got married last Saturday (Dec4 ) but Spring and Summer, thus far, have been so manic that I’m only sharing their Beloved pre-wedding portraits now.

Zenophy arrived a smidge early and was soooo teeny & sweet! I have known her parents for a few years now, having photographed their wedding plus I recommend them to all my Brides & Grooms for cakes as the owners of fabulous Cakestacks!

 Zen’s Mummy says she had a little tummy ache on shoot day but I couldn’t tell as she was so calm and cuddly!

BIRTHDAY PORTRAITS ~ family photos, perth western australia

Catherine is one of my suppliers and a delight to deal with so it was lovely seeing her ‘after hours’ and meeting her family.

Richard, Catherine’s brother, and his family had been on holidays so a Sunday morning brunch was organised to catch up and as a birthday surprise for their Mum’s birthday and I was there to photograph them all together.

The design of the house with the textures and feature walls lent itself perfectly to fun photos for all ages– I’d love to take other families there… Catherine?!?!
