dusk Bridal Fair ~ a weekend of all things wedding

March 10th, 2010 at 4:10 pm

We spent the weekend of March 6&7 in a cool, corner booth at the ‘dusk Bridal Fair”.  It was a hectic two days where we met loads of great people.  Thank you if you stopped for a chat and we hope you enjoyed the treats from Cakestacks!   I’d like to personally THANK my tireless helpers; Kirsten our newest team member, Russ my devoted husband and Anneke and Amanda, both of whom are clients and now friends.  These guys are great for my ego as they always have fab things to say about my photography.  It was a great success and I could not have done it without you four… xxxx

WILL & MADDIE ~ the joy of childrens portraiture

March 4th, 2010 at 6:18 pm

I am ‘Aunty Jem’ to four small boys, but the connection with these two delightful ‘strangers’ was as if we already knew one another…  Will was waiting with  his  camera when I arrived and Maddie gurgled and giggled the entire time!  It was so much fun catching up with Em, their Mum, and I’m looking forward to capturing the whole family later in the year.  The Arnold kids lit up my smile for days…

THE CORDELL LADIES ~ family portraits by the swan river

February 26th, 2010 at 2:33 pm

It was lovely spending an hour with the Cordell ladies, wandering along the swan river in Bicton and taking photos.  It was weird weather – hot, windy and cloudy but we captured some gorgeous moments that will be used as a special birthday present mid this year!

JAMIE-LEE & DUANE ~ a pre-wedding portrait beach shoot

February 19th, 2010 at 6:30 pm

The three of us met at City Beach recently hoping for some sun & sparkle on the water as, well it is Summer and Jamie-Lee and Duane had driven hours to get there!  None-the-less, we had a great time hanging out and pretending we owned the place with almost not a soul in sight.  This was just a warm up - can’t wait for their special day in April!

THE RITCHIES ~ family photos in floreat

February 7th, 2010 at 7:36 pm

I photographed Sam & Amanda’s wedding so it was such a pleasure to catch up with them recently, now that they are a family of four!  Their children are just delightful - Jasie is an energetic toddler who loves to dance, making the “seated” portraits all the more fun!  She is a very proud ‘big sis’ to Zeke, whose smile and gentle nature just make you melt

CAROLINE & LUKE ~ a summer swan valley wedding

January 13th, 2010 at 7:52 pm

Gorgeous and gentle Caroline & Luke were married on December 11th 2009. Many of their loved ones travelled to enjoy the summer celebrations with them at Sittella Winery.

It was fun to see lots of familiar faces; Caroline’s bother, Rob and some of his family and lovely Nic Forde, who did the girls hair & makeup.

Caroline appeared to almost float amongst the vines in her Brides By Design gown!  The weather was divine and we had such a relaxing time enjoyng the stunning grounds and dusk light.

CAT & PAUL ~ a classically beautiful wedding day

January 9th, 2010 at 5:20 pm

It was an absolute pleasure photographing Cat & Paul’s wedding day on December 4th last year!  I’m sort of “in the family” so I was honoured to be included in the whole day.

Cat got ready surrounded by her favourite girls; her sister, Leah who also got ready at their Mum & Dad’s home on her wedding day, Ev who was recently married, Merissa who gets married in a few months, Gen who did the flowers and gets married next year and Hayley who flew in from Sydney for it all!  You could just feel the excitement in the air!

Cat & Paul’s lovely ceremony was followed by an awesome reception at Rose Hill Country Club.  Guests enjoyed champagne on arrival while we made use of the stunning grounds and rooms.

The Pink Ribbon bombonieries were from the Breast Cancer Foundation in support of all those affected by cancer.  The speeches were exemplary and the dancing was superb - a memorable night was enjoyed by all!

ADELLE & CHRIS ~ an aussie wedding celebration

January 5th, 2010 at 3:55 pm

Groovy Adelle & Chris got married in Las Vegas in September and then honeymooned for a few weeks with friends.  Unfortunately, not everyone could go (including me!) so they celebrated their marriage on November 21 at Piney Lakes Environmental Centre

Adelle & Chris were surrounded by loving friends and family who helped make their afternoon special!  From arranging the flowers, to conducting the exchange of vows, to running the bar with Chris’ own brew on tap, everyone was involved!  But, possibly the most memorable ‘helper’ was Chris’ daughter, Imogen, who accompanied he and Adelle down the aisle, then Imogen gave Chris away.

Adelle & Chris’ guests enjoyed drinks and canapés in the spring sun while we made use of the beautiful light in the nearby nature reserve.

MARISSA ~ the beauty of pregnancy portraits

December 22nd, 2009 at 12:47 pm

Everything about this shoot was wonderful; the light, the mood, catching up with Marissa and ultimately, what we were recording.  Marissa is pregnant with her first baby!  She is due early next year and was excited to capture this special time and give the images as a gift to her husband, Chris.  In a few months, I‘ll look forward to featuring the three of them, as a new family!

MEL & TOM ~ a morning of photos at bicton baths

December 19th, 2009 at 11:23 pm

Some say, best friends are the family you choose… recently I spent the morning at Bicton Baths with two very special friends.  I photograph the Sojan family regularly and it’s a pleasure and an honour to capture Tom’s character and smile as he grows up.  I miss his Dad everyday and am thankful for Mel’s friendship & strength and the sunshine Tom brings into our lives. Enjoy…
